What We Do

IQA Solutions provides project management and engineering services for:

  • Conceptual Design & Feasibility Studies
  • Cost – Benefit Analysis
  • Front-End Engineering and Design (FEED)
  • Detailed Engineering
  • Laser Scanning & Surveying
  • As-Is & As-Built Documentation

IQA’s organization and project execution approach support all phases of Plant Life Cycle from conception to successful commissioning.

Conceptual and Feasibility Studies

Our goal is to begin projects with a detailed definition of scope for execution of each project phase. Conceptual design and feasibility studies precede scope development with more definitive material & energy balance calculations and alternative design consideration. Our goal for this phase of the project is establishing the project total installed cost (TIC) with +/-30% accuracy.

Detailed Engineering

Detailed engineering consists of preparing construction drawings for engineering disciplines (process, mechanical, piping, control systems & instrumentation, electrical, civil, structural, HVAC and Fire Protection); performing constructability & maintainability reviews, and conducting a detailed safety audit. The goal for this phase is establishing a definitive TIC estimate with+/-10% accuracy.

Front-End Engineering Design (FEED)

FEED consists of development of process and utilities P&IDs, preparation, finalizing process descriptions, finalizing plot plan, preparing equipment and instrument calculations & performance data sheets and preparing preliminary safety audit. The goal for this phase is to establish the project TIC estimate at +/-20% accuracy. In some instances, this is performed as part of detailed design during FEED package preparation, without the benefits of equipment vendor data, for establishing a more accurate TIC estimate.

Procurement & Construction Support and Project Closeout

Procurement and construction support consists of tasks for ensuring engineering contractual obligations are met. Activities include providing resident engineer(s), if required. Project closeout activities start after completion of project construction and include providing as-built documentation.
